About Mario Kart World
初のオープンワールド・マリオカート
『マリオカート ワールド』は、シリーズ初となるオープンワールドデザインを採用した作品です。これまでのような独立したコースでのレースではなく、広大でつながった世界を自由に走ることができます。草原、にぎやかな都市、火山、広がる海など、さまざまなエリアがシームレスにリンクしています。
史上最大規模のレース
最大24人が同時にレースでき、これは従来作の2倍の人数です。シリーズ史上最もカオスで白熱したレースが楽しめます。
グランプリの再定義
従来のグランプリモードは4つの個別コースを走る形式でしたが、『マリオカート ワールド』ではコース同士が道路でつながっており、実際に自分で次のコースまで運転して移動します。この移動時間もレース体験の一部です。
サバイバルモード
新登場の「サバイバル」モードは、世界を舞台にしたノンストップのラリーです。24人全員でスタートし、各チェックポイントごとに順位の低いプレイヤーが脱落。最後の1人になるまで続くサバイバル要素のあるレースです。
フリーランモード
初めて導入された「フリーラン」モードでは、レース以外の世界も自由に探索できます。好きな場所を走り回ったり、隠し要素を発見したり、ミッションに挑戦したり、景色の良い場所でキャラクターの写真を撮ったりすることができます。このモードは『Forza Horizon』のオープンワールドに例えられることもあります。
新しいテクニック
「チャージジャンプ」などの新アクションが追加され、障害物を飛び越えたり、レールの上をグラインドしたり、一時的に壁を走ったりできます。ミスした場合は新機能「リワインド」で位置をリセットできますが、他のプレイヤーのレースはそのまま進行します。
ダイナミックな世界
昼夜のサイクルや天候の変化があり、同じエリアでも毎回違った雰囲気や難易度でレースが楽しめます。
インタラクティブなオブジェクト
世界中にはコインがもらえる「？」ブロック、双眼鏡（鳥瞰視点で周囲を見渡せる）、スピードアップできるボートやトラック、マップを横断できる大砲など、様々なインタラクティブなオブジェクトが配置されています。
圧倒的なキャラクター数
操作できるキャラクターは50人。さらに、レース中にスナックを食べることでアンロックできる24種類の追加コスチュームもあります。一部のキャラクターはコース上の障害物としても登場します。
多彩なマルチプレイ
1台の本体で最大4人まで（画面分割）ローカル対戦ができ、オンラインでは最大24人で世界中のプレイヤーとレース可能です。フリーランモードでは、好きな場所で友達と合流して一緒に探検することもできます。

First Open-World Mario Kart:
Mario Kart World is the first game in the Mario Kart series to feature an open-world design. Instead of racing on isolated tracks, players can freely drive across a vast, interconnected world where grassy plains, bustling cities, volcanoes, and wide-open waters are all seamlessly linked. -
Largest Races Ever:
Up to 24 players can race together at once, which is double the maximum number from previous Mario Kart games. This makes for the most chaotic and competitive races in the series’ history. -
Grand Prix Redefined:
Unlike earlier games where the Grand Prix mode was a set of four separate races, Mario Kart World connects courses with drivable roads. Racers must actually drive between tracks, and these intermissions are part of the race experience. -
Survival Mode:
The new "Survival" mode is a non-stop rally across the world. All 24 racers start together, and at each checkpoint, the lowest-ranked players are eliminated until only one remains. This brings a survival element to the racing action. -
Free Run Mode:
For the first time, players can explore the world outside of races in "Free Run" mode. You can drive anywhere, discover secrets, take on missions, and even snap photos of your character at scenic locations. This mode has been compared to the open-world style of Forza Horizon. -
New Techniques:
Mario Kart World introduces moves like the "Charge Jump," which lets you leap over obstacles and onto rails for grinding, or even ride on walls for a short time. If you make a mistake, you can use the new "Rewind" feature to reset your position, but the race continues for everyone else. -
Dynamic World:
The game features a day-night cycle and changing weather, so the same area can look and play differently each time you race through it. -
Interactive Objects:
The world is filled with interactive objects, such as ? Blocks (which give coins), binoculars (for a bird’s eye view), boats and cargo trucks (which can be hijacked for speed boosts), and cannons that launch racers across the map. -
Massive Character Roster:
There are 50 playable characters, and 24 of them have unlockable alternate costumes that you can access by eating snacks during races. Some characters also appear as obstacles on the tracks. -
Multiplayer Options:
You can play locally with up to four players on one system (split-screen), or race online with up to 24 players from around the world. Free Run mode also lets you meet up with friends anywhere in the game world and explore together.
